Given your imminent retirement, switching to NPS (National Pension System) from your provident fund right now might not be very useful. Instead, you can wait till you retire, realise the EPF (Employees' Provident Fund) money and then invest it based on your income requirement. Had your retirement been, let's say, five or ten years away, it would have been prudent to invest in NPS since you could have reaped its benefits over time.
