The Indian stock market continued its winning streak during the week of April 15-21, with the BSE Sensex gaining 5.9 per cent. The BSE Midcap and Smallcap indices surged 7.4 per cent and 7.3 per cent, respectively.

In contrast, most global markets ended the week in the red, with the US emerging as the worst performer among major economies.
